From the jump the pair of Godolphin runners got to the front accompanying the Doug Watson-trained Lost Eden to leading the pack for the first 1000m run.
With 800m left in the journey Global Storm was moved clear to lead under Buick and Bhupat Seemar’s Rakeez now had the chance to slip into second and chase.
Buick let down to extend the lead and Global Storm won with stablemate Kemari left to take runner up in the finish.
