The crowd favourite going in was Ami Please for Doug O’Neil with Mickael Barzalona onboard with the Al Mheiri-trained Lahresh close behind. 

The Listed Al Bastakiya over 1900M on the dirt was worth US$170,000 and drew a field of 12, with a lower quality of class than the two prior.

It was Ami Please who got out to lead in the initial stages with Eye on the Prize tightly chasing in second and the Bhupat Seemar-trained Priyanka holding third.
With 100 metres left to run Mr Raj came from the ground exploding to hit the lead only for the Fawzi Nass trained Go Soldier Go to break hearts winning on the line under hoop Adrie de Vries.
