This month, Trainer Jessica Harrington will send her Group Three-placed horse, Pivotal Trigger, to compete in Sunday's Gr.1 German Derby. The colt, owned by Yuesheng Zhang, recently had a successful return to the racing season.
After finishing third in the Gr.3 Prix des Chenes at Longchamp last September, Pivotal Trigger emerged victorious on their reappearance at Roscommon. Now, they are prepared for their second endeavour in a high-level race.
Harrington's reports stated, “it looks like he'll go out there (German Derby). He's a lovely horse, a real genuine tough horse. He's a Pivotal and they do like a bit of cut in the ground.”
Bronsan Racing's Rising Star: Givemethebeatboys
After being sold for £1,100,000 to new owners Bronsan Racing, Harrington's Givemethebeatboys emerged as a prominent contender in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot. She mentioned that they are considering the Railway Stakes and the Phoenix Stakes but have yet to make a final decision.
“He looked really good this morning. He's a tough horse, those Bungleinthejungles are very tough. It looked a good Coventry and I was delighted with his run (finishing fourth) there.”
The Classic-winning trainer commented on the Naas Oaks Trial runners Snowcapped and Small Oasis, stating that Snowcapped is a filly showing improvement. While her ratings may classify her as a handicapper, she has shown significant progress.
“I think stepping up in trip will suit Small Oasis as she was outpaced when she ran in France the last day. She ran well there and I've got a pair of blinkers on her now to try and keep her concentrating.
“Hopefully they'll both run well and get a bit of black-type.”
