With the support of Entain, Trackside Media was able to secure Inglis' slot, leading to I Wish I Win's invitation to the highly anticipated A$20m Everest race.
Under the guidance of trainer Peter Moody, I Wish I Win is expected to make his comeback at the Group 2 McEwen Stakes, which is scheduled to take place at The Valley in early September.
The upcoming Everest 2023 race is showcasing a strong presence of Victorian horses, with Giga Kick, trained by Clayton Douglas, currently holding the position of race favorite.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Moody stated, “It is the first time I’ve had a horse good enough to have a crack at Everest, and I’m delighted to have secured a slot this far out.”
“It will allow us to really tailor his preparation down to the minute.”
Waikato Stud, in collaboration with I Wish I Win, shared Moody's excitement, with Mark Chittick expressing enthusiasm for the chance to compete in a slot controlled by New Zealanders.
Highlighting the importance of the achievement, Cameron Rodger, Managing Director of Entain New Zealand, emphasized that securing a slot in The Everest for Trackside was a reason to celebrate the New Zealand thoroughbred racing and breeding industries.
