Auguste Rodin is still set to participate in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Qipco Stakes (3.40) on Saturday, as he was one of the 15 horses confirmed on Monday.
Clash Of Champions: Derby Rematch
The champion of both the Derby and Irish Derby is scheduled to face off once again against King Of Steel, who finished second at Epsom and dominated the King Edward VII Stakes in the previous month.
Desert Crown, last season's Derby winner, and Pyledriver, the defending champion, are also expected to join the race.
The field will feature top-quality contenders such as Emily Upjohn, the Coronation Cup winner, and Hukum, whose odds have dropped due to the predicted rain at Ascot.
Unfortunately, Adayar, the 2021 Derby and King George winner will not be competing, along with Changingoftheguard, Grand Alliance, and Tunnes.
In addition to Auguste Rodin, trainer O'Brien may also have Luxembourg, Adelaide River, Point Lonsdale, Bolshoi Ballet, and Broome in the race.
The provisional field is completed by Westover, Simca Mille, Hamish, and Deauville Legend, the winner of last year's Great Voltigeur Stakes at York.
