Kevin Ryan has made plans to enter both Triple Time and Hi Royal in the prestigious Prix Jacques le Marois at Deauville this coming Sunday.
Triple Time, who caused a major upset with odds of 33-1 in the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot, has been carefully preserved and maintained to ensure his freshness for this important race. He is currently on track for a successful cross-Channel raid this weekend.
Hi Royal: A Comeback Journey
Hi Royal, the younger stablemate of Triple Time, had shown promise earlier in the year by placing in both the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket and the Irish Guineas at the Curragh. Unfortunately, in the recent Prix Jean Prat, Hi Royal failed to make a significant impact.
Nevertheless, efforts are being made to prepare Hi Royal for a comeback at Deauville. The talented jockey William Buick has been enlisted to ride him in this upcoming race. With the right strategy and execution, Hi Royal may have a chance to redeem himself and showcase his true potential.
Ryan said, “Both horses are in good form, Triple Time was very good at Royal Ascot and I’m looking forward to running him again.
“Hi Royal has always been a very consistent horse other than his last start and he’s been working well.
“Neil Callan will obviously ride Triple Time and William Buick has become available and rides Hi Royal.”
The weather conditions have been challenging lately, but a week of dry weather both here and in France is expected to make the ground conditions better. Ryan is optimistic that the track conditions will not pose any problems over the weekend.
He said: “It’s a dry week, the ground today was good to soft and I don’t think there’s any rain forecast – it should be drying out all the time.”
