Group One winnerSheeza Belter has been retired after her unplaced performance in the Golden Pendant at Rosehill last Saturday. The news was confirmed on Monday by Justin Warwick, the managing owner.
"Her racing career has come to an end and we're very grateful that we found her and now it's time for her to get on with the next stage of her life," Warwick said.
"She'll go to auction in the next 10 days through a Magic Millions sale.
"She's too valuable to keep racing and she had such a good career so we thought it was in her best interests to retire her after Saturday's run."
After spending some time on the east coast of Australia with Peter and Paul Snowden, Sheeza Belter made her debut run for the Annabel Neasham stable. Throughout her career, the 4YO mare won five out of 14 starts, including a notable victory in the Gr.1 J.J Atkins at Eagle Farm in 2022.
As a 3YO, she also won the Gr.2 Hot Danish Stakes and finished third in the Gr.1 Coolmore Classic, behind Espiona.
