Into Mischief, the current leading sire for the fourth consecutive time, will have a strong presence at this year's Breeders' Cup.
Seven horses from Into Mischief have been pre-entered in the Breeders' Cup at Santa Anita Park on 3rd and 4th November 3rd, making him the sire with the highest number of pre-entries. Spendthrift Farm leads all stallion farms with 22 runners pre-entered representing 10 of its stallions. Into Mischief is set to stand the 2024 season at Spendthrift Farm for US$250,000.
The seven horses pre-entered for Into Mischief at the Breeders' Cup are Timberlake, winner of the Champagne Stakes Gr.1, Gina Romantica, winner of the First Lady Stakes (Gr.1T), Hoosier Philly, a grade 2 winner, Three Witches, a Group One winner, and Clearly Unhinged, who was placed in Group One Pretty Mischievous, a multiple Group One winner, and Lane Way, a Group Two winner, are also pre-entered. As a second preference, Gina Romantica is entered in the Filly & Mare Turf (Gr.1T), and Hoosier Philly is entered in the Filly & Mare Sprint (Gr.1).
Despite having only three crops, Gun Runner, a record-breaking young sire, has six horses pre-entered. Those six runners are Chatalas, a Group Two winner, Life Talk, placed in Group One, Locked, a Group One winner, Dreamlike, placed in Group One, Society, also a Group One winner, and Gunite, a two-time Group One winner. No Nay Never, who stands at Coolmore in Ireland, has a total of six horses pre-entered, with five of them being 2YO. Frankel, who stands at Banstead Manor Stud in Newmarket, England, is the third sire with six horses pre-entered.
