Triple Time, the accomplished winner of the Gr.1 Queen Anne Stakes has been retired from racing. The son of Frankel will be stationed at Darley's Dalham Hall Stud for stud duties in 2024.
Triple Time, a Sheikh Mohammed Obaid-bred colt by Frankel, made an impressive start to his career with a 9 1/2 length victory at Haydock as a 2YO. He also won the listed Ascendant Stakes that year but missed out on the classics due to an injury setback. However, he returned as a 3YO to win the Gr.3 Superior Mile Stakes and secured his first Group One success by winning the Queen Anne Stakes, beating Inspiral and other notable names including Modern Games, Native Trail, and Angel Bleu.
Triple Time comes from a highly acclaimed family, being the ninth foal out of the winning and stakes-placed mare Reem Three by Mark of Esteem. Reem Three is a half-sister to Afsare, a winner of the Celebration Mile (Gr.2) and second in the Gr.1 Arlington Million Stakes. She is also the dam of seven black-type winners or performers, including Ajman Princess, who won the Prix Jean Romanet (Gr.1), and Ostilio, who was victorious in the Prix Daniel Wildenstein (Gr.2).
Sam Bullard, director of stallions, said, "Triple Time's victory in the Queen Anne at Royal Ascot was the pinnacle of a superb career for this impeccably bred horse.
"He is from a truly outstanding female family and being an elite miler by Frankel, we think he will be very popular with breeders. We look forward to showing him at Dalham in the very near future."
