Frankel, who is poised to reclaim the prestigious British and Irish sires' title, will be joining Dubawi at an extraordinary stud fee of US$4,31,544.75, making it the highest in the world for the year 2024.
The son of Galileo, who is owned by Juddmonte and is 15YO, has sired the most individual top-flight winners in 2023, totaling 11, compared to any other stallion in the northern hemisphere. In addition, his Group One score stands at 33. This year's winners include Chaldean, Soul Sister, Mostahdaf, Ylang Ylang, and Inspiral, who won the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf on Saturday.
Frankel was responsible for selling the highest-priced yearlings at Tattersalls Book 1 this year, a colt for 2,000,000gns and filly for 1,600,000gns, as well as the Goffs Orby Sale top lot, a US$1.98 million filly. Frankel, who stood his first season at stud in 2013 for £125,000, has broken an 11-year winning sequence for his own sire, Juddmonte's Dancing Brave, to be crowned champion sire in Britain and Ireland in 2021.
This year, he won the title again with over US$86,30,125.00 in prize-money and well ahead of his competitors, after losing to Darley's Dubawi last year. Frankel's official rating of 140 places him second only to Dancing Brave (141) in the history of international classifications, which began in 1977, and equals last year's world's best horse Flightline. Kingman, the son of Invincible Spirit, is the second six-figure stallion at Banstead Manor Stud in Newmarket, owned by the Abdullah family, with a price of US$1,54,109.38 for 2024.
Simon Mockridge, general manager of Juddmonte UK, said, "This year has been another outstanding season for the Juddmonte stallions. A season which sees Frankel poised to win his second champion sire title in the last three years, and a year where the Juddmonte roster was the leading stallion farm at Royal Ascot.
“Kingman closes 2023 as the sire of more 3YO stakes winners than Frankel, Into Mischief, Galileo and Dubawi. Significantly, Frankel and Kingman, who currently sit first and third in the European sires' list, are responsible for 64 individual stakes winners between them in 2023 alone. Of which, 39 are Group winners, with 14 of them winning at the highest level, further consolidating their positions as two of the world’s elite stallions."
He added, "The roster has been further strengthened by the exciting addition of Frankel’s most precocious son, Chaldean. His physique, conformation and Classic credentials should give him every opportunity to succeed.
"We look forward to welcoming breeders to the farm to view the stallions by appointment."
