Champion Goodnight Olive, a consecutive winner of the Breeders' Cup Gr.1 Filly & Mare Sprint, dazzled the Fasig-Tipton sales ring by selling for an impressive $6 million to owner John Stewart 7th on November during The November Sale. The purchase was facilitated by Gavin O'Connor, the agent involved in the transaction.
By 9 p.m. ET, she and champion Nest were identified as the two highest-priced lots of the sale.
The 5YO mare bred by Stonestreet Thoroughbred Holdings and trained by Chad Brown, who won four Group One races and also took the Filly & Mare Sprint at Keeneland on her way to an Eclipse Award, has been consigned by ELiTE.
She has earned almost US$2.2 million for owners First Row Partners and Team Hanley, winning 9 out of 12 starts.
