Equinox, the Japanese superstar, maintains its position at the top of the World's Best Racehorse Rankings. The recent release of the rankings on 9th November, covering races from 1st January to 5th November, shows that the Breeders' Cup World Championships had little influence on the standings.
In the latest World's Best Racehorse Rankings, Auguste Rodin, the Gr.1 Breeders' Cup Turf winner, maintained his rating of 124, which keeps him in a tie for the tenth spot. None of the Breeders' Cup winners made it to the top 10 except Mostahdaf, the Shadwell Stable homebred, who finished eighth in the Turf and maintained his rating of 128, securing a tie for second with Gr.1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner Ace Impact, who also maintained his rating
The Japan-based Equinox topped the rankings after winning the Tenno Sho Autumn, his third grade 1 or group 1 win this season, maintaining his perfect record in three starts this year after earning Horse of the Year honors in Japan last year, campaigned by Silk Racing.
White Abarrio, the Gr.1 Classic victor, improved his rating from 122 to 123, landing in a tie for 12th and becoming the world's top-rated dirt horse. The 4YO son of Race Day is campaigned by C2 Racing Stable and La Milagrosa Stable. Meanwhile, Up to the Mark's runner-up finish in the Turf saw his rating elevated from 121 to 122, and Shahryar joined this year's rankings by earning a 121 rating in finishing third in the Turf.
