The Ras Umm Hasah Cup took place on December 23 at Al Uqda Racecourse, where Image Du Croate, a 5YO bay mare owned by H.E. Sheikha Reem Bint Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, won the 1300m Purebred Arabian Conditions race. The mare, ridden by jockey Lukas Delozier and trained by Rudy Nerbonne, made a comeback after winning her second seasonal appearance. In a thrilling finish, Image Du Croate beat MJ Mutabahi by a short head and secured a victory. Gazwan Racing's MJ Mutabahi came in second, while the third place was secured by Mohammed Ghazali's Mohammed Ghazali. Abdulla Rashid Al Kubaisi, QREC Racing Manager, crowned the winners.
The meeting began with the 1200m Thoroughbred Maiden Plate for 3-6 year olds, which was won by Opera Legend, owned by Ahmed Hassan Al Malki Al Jehani and trained by Hamad Al-Jehani. Jockey Szczepan Mazur rode the horse to victory by a length and three quarters. Prince Nabeel owned by Sheikh Ahmad Bin Mohamed F N Al-Thani and trained by Mohammed Salama Ashour, finished second, while Saeiqa owned by Mohammed Khamis Eisa Al-Kaabi and trained by the same owner secured the third position.
In the Local Purebred Arabian Novice Plate for 3YOs and older, Ray'q, owned by Al Shahania Stud, won the 1300m race. The colt, ridden by Ivan Rossi and trained by Mohammed Ghazali, was beaten by Rudy Nerbonne-trained and Lukas Delozier-ridden Ray'q by a neck. Mutanaasiq, owned and trained by Nasser Owaida Salem Al Hajri, finished third.
Jazz De Nacre, owned by Eng. Osama Omer E Al-Dafea, won the 1300m Purebred Arabian Handicap (0-75) for three-year-olds and older. Trainer Owaida Salem Al Hajri and jockey Abdulla Rashid Al-Hajri led the horse to victory by half a length. Mehry, owned by Abdulla Jaber R K Al-Hajri and trained by Fahad Rashid Al Khayarin, came in second, while Nuwar, owned by Sheikh Ahmad Bin Mohamed F N Al-Thani and trained by Mohammed Salama Ashour, secured the third position.
In the 2000m Thoroughbred Handicap (65-85) for 3YO and older, Cloak And Dagger, owned by Fatima Bint Sultan D Al-Dosari, won the race by a length and three quarters. Trainer Mohammed Ghazali led the horse to victory, with Hamed Al Busaidi as the jockey. Dhi Qar, owned by Mohammed Abdulla A N Al Attiya, secured the second position, while Overrule, owned by Abdulaziz Saleh M A Al-Otaibi and trained by Hadi Al Ramzani, finished third.
The 1300m Local Thoroughbred Handicap (50-70) for 3YOs and older was won by Ushayqer, owned by Mohamed Abdulla Al- Abdulmalik and trained by Mohamed Khaled Elahmed. Jockey Faleh Bughanaim led the 7YO gelding to victory by a length. Dhergham Bu Thaila, owned by Sabhea Awad Ibrahim and trained by Ibrahim Khaled Elahmed, secured the second position, while Mater, owned by Ahmed Hassan Al Malki Al Jehani and trained by Hamad Al-Jehani, finished third.
The meeting concluded with the 1200m Thoroughbred Handicap (80-100) for 3YOs and older. Tilaawah, owned by Mohammed Hamad H A Al-Jehani and trained by Hamad Al-Jehani, won the race by a nose. Jockey Chloe Mignonneau led the horse to victory in a close finish. Return To Senders, owned by Nasser Saeed M S Al-Eida and trained by Gassim Ghazali, finished second, while Vedute, owned by Eng. Hassan Ali A M Alabdulmalik and trained by Debbie Mountain, secured the third position.
