Mozahim showcased his exceptional fighting spirit by winning the Al Awir Sprint Stakes, the headline race of Saturday's seven-race program at Jebel Ali.
Trainer-jockey duo Michael Costa and Ben Coen enjoyed two victories at the Jebel Ali racecourse. In the first race, Mozahim, initially lost the lead to Musabbeh Al Mheiri’s Manitou. However, Coen spurred Mozahim on to regain the lead and win by half a length. In the next race, Turjman, another horse trained by Costa and ridden by Coen, won the Commercial Bank of Dubai Stakes by six-and-a-quarter lengths.
Al Mheiri also had a successful day, winning two races towards the end of the meet. In the Bin Dasmal Group Stakes handicap, Al Shibli under Bealsey won by a neck ahead of Vespasian, trained by Simon and Ed Crisfords. In the Al Safa Stakes 1800m maiden, Waqet ridden by Beasley held off Mashkoor to win the race.
Khalifa Al Neyadi's AF Man’oot, ridden by Saif Al Balushi, won the 1400m Porsche Cup, a maiden for Purebred Arabians. Alla Mahlak, trained by Rashed Bouresly and ridden by Omar Salas, won the 1400m Al Shafar Investment Stakes by a length-and-three-quarters from Show Maker. Finally, Violent Justice, ridden by Pat Dobbs and owned by Doug Watson's Red Stables, won the 1600m JARC Motorsports Day Cup handicap by three-quarters of a length from Eljenob.
