The held its 16th meeting of the season at their racecourse in Al Raffa, Sakhir on 13th January,The event featured the Cups of the Royal Golf Club (RGC), Al Bilad Newspaper, Spartan Fitness, Late Shaikh Rashid bin Mohamed Al Khalifa, and Safra.
In the final round of the Late Shaikh Rashid bin Mohamed Al Khalifa Cup, held at the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club (REHC) for class 4 and imported maiden horses, Vegas Jack of Al Mohamediya Racing emerged as the winner over 1,800m. Trained by Fawzi Nass and ridden by Jason Watson, Vegas Jack dominated the competition.
Elwasme, owned by Al Mohamediya Racing, clinched the victory in the eighth round of the Spartan Fitness Cup for imported horses with handicap over 2,400m. The horse was trained by Ali Abdulmajeed and ridden by Neil Callan. While Abdulla Fawzi Nass’s Pisces,, won the seventh round of the competition for locally bred maiden horses over 1,600m.
Allen Smith’s Stylish secured the win in the sixth round over 1,200m for locally bred class 3, 4, and maiden horses. The horse owned by Victorious Racing was guided to victory by Edinson Rodriguez. Stylish’s stablemate Call The Wind, owned by L & L Racing, won the fourth round for the Royal Golf Club Cup over 1,400m for locally bred class 4 and maiden horses. Another Allan Smith charge Uptoyouordowntome, owned by M and E Racing took home the third round for the Royal Golf Club Cup over 1,200m straight for locally bred horses with handicap.
While another Victorious Racing colt, trained by Fawzi Nass, won the second round for the Al Bilad Newspaper Cup over 1,000m for all classes of locally bred horses. Al Nuwayef, crossed the wire under Ladjadj.
Alabrar, owned by Al Sairafi Syndicate and trained by Osama Hashim, emerged victorious in the fifth round for the Spartan Fitness Cup over 1,400m for imported horses with handicap.
In the Safra Cup over 1,000m for class 4 and maiden WAHO horses, Musannan 1881, owned by Al Khaldiya, came out on top. The horse was trained by Fawzi Nass and ridden by Rosie Jessop.
