Under the delegation of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, HH Sayyid Taimour bin Asa'ad Al Said presided over the Royal Cavalry's annual horse race.
The race, which featured purebred Arabian horses, was held in the Wilayat of Ibri in the Governorate of Al Dhahirah. The Royal Court Affairs, represented by the Royal Cavalry, organized this event.
The race was divided into five rounds, with the final round being a 2000-meter run that served as the pinnacle of the championship.
This last round was won by a horse named Falah. In the first round, a she-horse named ‘Fatin’ emerged victorious in the 1200-meter race, under the guidance of female jockey Salsabeel Mohammed Al Mudhaffar.
RB Kinsman, guided by jockey Amer Ali Al Rasbi, emerged victorious in the second round of the race, covering a distance of 1,200 meters.
In the subsequent round, Antares del Mar, ridden by jockey Qais Saif Al Busaidi, claimed the victory, triumphing over a course of 1,600 meters.
In the 1,600-meter fourth round, the horse named 'Jathjath', guided by Amer Ali Al-Rasbi, emerged victorious. In between races, captivating equestrian sports performances took place.
Accompanied by melodic tunes, these performances were presented by skilled riders from the Royal Cavalry. They showcased traditional Omani folk arts that revolved around horsemanship.
The race was attended by members of the Royal Family, ministers, officials, sheikhs, and dignitaries from the Governorate of Al Dhahirah, as well as members of the State Council.
