Jockey Lukas Delozier continued his winning streak at the Al Uqda Racecourse on Wednesday as Talg’at Al Shahania claimed a two-length victory to win the Al Jumail Cup.
The mare, owned by Sheikha Reem bint Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Thani, was guided to victory by Delozier in the 1400m Local Purebred Arabian Graduation Plate, which marked the end of the seven-race 16th Al Uqda Meeting. This was the second win of the day for the jockey and trainer Rudy Nerbonne, as earlier Haman had won the Purebred Arabian Handicap title.
In the meantime, Abdelkabir Benlarbi rode Kab Ghazal to second place in the feature, overcoming a challenge from Loyah, who was ridden by Jefferson Smith.
