Goldingreatstore, owned by Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Rashid AM Al Thani, secured the Wadi Al Sail Cup by winning the Thoroughbred Premium Maidens race at the Al Uqda Racecourse yesterday. The 3YO colt, trained by Mohammed Ghazali, partnered with jockey Ivan Rossi to claim a two-and-a-half-length victory in the 1200m race. White Christmas, ridden by Jefferson Smith, finished as the runner-up by outpacing third-placed Insignia by a length.
The feature winners of the race were crowned by Al Uqda Complex Manager Abdulaziz Jassim Al Boenain. The event, which was the 19th Al Uqda Meeting organized by the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club, featured seven contests.
