Bloodstock agent John Fahey has announced that Bradester, a Group one winner, has been sold and will be relocated to Al Suliman Stud in Saudi Arabia. The deal was facilitated by Suliman Bloodstock. Bradester, a 14YO son of Lion Heart and Grandestofall, a winning Grand Slam mare, has been standing in Texas at Valor Farm since he entered stud in 2017.
He has already sired 36 career winners, including eight black-type performers, with top runners like Come to the Party, the 2022 Texas Stallion Pan Zareta Division Stakes winner, and Marfa Sky, the 2023 Texas Stallion Staunch Avenger Division Stakes winner.
"The new owners were looking for the son of a proven stallion on the dirt," Fahey said, noting the stallion should arrive in Saudi Arabia at the end of the month. "He belongs to an excellent family."
During his racing career, Bradester was able to win six graded stakes from the ages of 2 to 6. In 2016, he participated in five starts and secured victories in three of them, which included the Gr.1 Stephen Foster Handicap, the Gr.2 Monmouth Cup Stakes for the second consecutive year, and the Majestic Light Stakes. With a total of 26 starts, Bradester was retired with a record of 10-6-3 and earnings of US$1,196,332.
Lion Heart, who unfortunately passed away in 2023 at the age of 22, was a renowned stallion who sired 45 stakes winners and three champions. Among his successful progeny was the Canadian 2012 Horse of the Year, Uncaptured, and Turkey's 2019 champion 2YO filly, Last Chance Lady. Lion Heart had been standing for the Jockey Club of Turkey since 2010.
