Godolphin has once again set its sights on the world after the amazing recent performances of the its stable stars. In the Meydan turf races for 3YOs, Cinderella's Dream made a significant statement of her potential as a top contender for the 1,000 Guineas by winning the Listed Jumeirah 1,000 Guineas in spectacular fashion.
Despite facing a setback when her saddle slipped, William Buick persevered without irons for a large part of the race, while Cinderella's Dream responded to his gentle handling and claimed a decisive victory by a margin of five and a half lengths. The Shamardal filly's performance has put her on track for the UK Classic, a path previously taken by Mawj last year.
Meanwhile, Legend Of Time continued his winning streak with another dominant performance in the Listed Jumeirah Classic. He is considered a strong contender for North America's Turf Triple races, starting with the Gr.1 Belmont Derby in July, and could potentially participate in a preparatory race in the country before the main event.
This week, Saeed bin Suroor is set to have runners in both the Dubai Racing Carnival and in Bahrain, where Real World and Passion And Glory will participate in Listed races on Friday. Charlie Appleby may also send Dhahabi and King Of Conquest to Bahrain.
Encino's victory in the John Battaglia Memorial Stakes at Turfway Park on Saturday has put him in contention for the Kentucky Derby. Meanwhile, Birth Cry finished third in Nakayama's Ocean Stakes, securing valuable Gr.3 Black Type in Japan on the same day.
Godolphin's first wins of the year in France at Chantilly last week were achieved by Galashiels and Vertbois. Both Andre Fabre-trained runners have Group-race entries, with Vertbois featuring among a group of Godolphin colts in the Gr.1 Poule d'Essai des Poulains.
