Oman's Ahmed Al Balushi celebrated victory in the second round of the Arabian Triple Crown as his horse, RB Yas Man, surged from near last to first under jockey Amur Al Rasbi at Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club on Thursday night.
The 2200m race for 4YOs witnessed RB Yas Man, a Sir Bani Yas colt, redeeming himself after being defeated by Mohammed Daggash's Diyaah in the Listed First Leg of the series over 1600m at the same venue.
Despite Diyaah's fierce challenge in the straight, Al Rasbi's strategic ride ensured RB Yas Man's victory by a neck, with Kanaille De Faust coming in third.
Al Balushi and Al Rasbi celebrated their biggest victory yet.
Elsewhere on the track, AR Rawaa clinched victory under Ibrahim Al Hadhrami and Connor Beasley, marking the first trainer-jockey combination to triumph. Musabbeh Al Mheiri's RB Heads-Up rallied late to win the 1400m Alanudd 0-65 handicap, while champion jockey Tadhg O'Shea showcased his skill by guiding AF Rami to success in the Damess (0-95) handicap.
Trainer Adnan Mohammed secured a second win of the season with ES Midwakh's victory in the 1600m Wathba Stallions Cup 0-75 handicap, ridden by veteran Adrie de Vries. AF Alzahi, under Ernst Oertel's guidance, triumphed in the 2200m Rabdan 0-70 handicap.
Keffaaf, trained by Michael Costa, secured victory in the 2200m Rajai handicap, enhancing Costa's hopes for a first-ever UAE Championship.
