Juddmonte Farms' homebred, Laurel River, has emerged as the top-rated horse in the Longines World's Best Racehorse Rankings 2024. After his dominant victory in the Gr.1 Dubai World Cup, the 6YO earned a rating of 128. He was never threatened in the World Cup and won by a margin of 8 1/2 lengths over Ushba Tesoro, who was rated 120 on the Longine rankings. Senor Buscador came in third, just a neck back. Earlier in March, Laurel River had won the Gr.3 Burj Nahaar by 6 3/4 lengths.
Rebel's Romance of Godolphin has improved his rating from 120 to 123 after winning the G1 Longines Dubai Sheema Classic. The 6YO gelding defeated Shahryar by two lengths in the Sheema Classic. Rebel's Romance had previously won the Gr.3 H H The Amir Trophy by three lengths in February. He is now the second-highest-rated horse in the world.
Facteur Cheval joins the rankings in the co-fifth position following his victory in the Gr.1 Dubai Turf. Tuz is also now ranked, having won the Gr.1 Dubai Golden Shaheen by 6 1/2 lengths.
In the US, Fierceness has joined the top 5 on the rankings after his explosive victory in the Gr.I Curlin Florida Derby.
