Profiteer Goes Equestrian During Relaxing Break At Vantage Hill
The impressive colt, who was the beaten favourite in the Golden Slipper Stakes - Profiteer, has been busying himself during his downtime with various equestrian tasks and has made a similar immediate impact there off the back of a super 2YO season that earned him A$1.4 million from just four starts.
Richardson, who runs the Scone pre-training and breaking property Vantage Hill with his wife Nikki, herself a former Australian equestrian rider, has had Profiteer at his property for about three weeks undergoing a regime designed to help him relax in his races.
Co-trainer Mick Price said he values the equestrian approach with such fast colts and said he expects the horse will benefit into his 3YO career as he looks to run a strong 1200 metres.
