Sheikh Rashed bin Dalmook bin Juma Al Maktoum conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, for reappointing him as Chairman of the Dubai Equestrian Club (DEC). In line with the recent royal Decision No. 25 of 2024, His Highness formed the new Board of Directors of the DEC, with Sheikh Rashed serving as chairman, alongside Khalifa Thani bin Abood Al Falasi and the Club's General Manager as members.
Reflecting on his renewed tenure, Sheikh Rashed bin Juma Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Equestrian Club, expressed profound gratitude for the continuous trust bestowed upon him by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed. He emphasised the importance of implementing innovative strategies to uphold the club's esteemed reputation, attributing its global prominence, particularly in endurance racing, to His Highness's visionary leadership and unwavering support. Sheikh Rashed highlighted His Highness's role in inspiring riders and teams, resulting in the DEC boasting a cadre of talented and dedicated national riders and trainers, thus maintaining Dubai's and the UAE's eminent position in the equestrian realm.
Mohammed Essa Al Adhab, General Manager and Board Member of the Dubai Equestrian Club, echoed Sheikh Rashed's sentiments, expressing gratitude towards His Highness Sheikh Mohammed for his steadfast backing of equestrian sports. Dr Al Adhab underscored DEC's exceptional performances in recent seasons and stressed the importance of continuing to pursue excellence to ensure Dubai remains a frontrunner in global equestrian sports.
"DEC is determined to continue playing an active role in equestrian sports such as endurance, dressage, and show jumping, both locally and globally. It will also focus on offering more exposure to polish the skills of the talented cadres and make use of the great facilities in place. It will continue efforts to ensure effective participation in various international events during the summer, which will also be a good prep for the upcoming winter season," added Al Adhab.
The dedicated endeavor to uphold and propel the Dubai Equestrian Club's heritage highlights a steadfast commitment to sustaining its elevated status within the equestrian sphere.
