Matt Laurie's exciting Gr.1 winning sprinter Portland Sky has recently returned to work for his 4YO season. The son of Deep Field has won four of his eight starts after dead-heating in the Oakleigh Plate, subsequently finishing second to Masked Crusader in the William Reid Stakes.
The A$85,000 Perth yearling purchase, the colt has already banked his connections A$529,075 in prizemoney and the promise of a career at stud.
We have definitely had interest from the studs, but we haven't committed yet," Laurie explained.
"He is a particularly good-looking horse and a magnificent animal and has only had eight starts and is in a great place to be able to improve."
The stable is yet to decide if Riddle Me That will take his place at Flemington on Saturday before a potential Queensland start, after his last-start third placing in the Anniversary Vase.
