Mountain Breeze aims to continue her impressive career as she competes in the Gr.2 Duchess of Cambridge Stakes on Friday, July 12, at Newmarket’s July Festival.
The Charlie Appleby-trained filly, a three-parts sister to the Champion 2YO Pinatubo, began with two noteworthy victories on Newmarket’s Rowley Mile.
Although she narrowly missed Gr.3 Black Type at Royal Ascot, finishing fourth in the Albany Stakes after a bold front-running display, she is set for a strong showing.
Charlie Appleby said: “We have been very pleased with how Mountain Breeze has come out of Royal Ascot, and she looks to have done well physically since. Based on that, and looking at the shape of the race, we feel that she should be very competitive.”
