As the 2024/2025 racing season kicks off tomorrow, Annabel Neasham has announced an exciting new training partnership with Rob Archibald. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for the stable as it prepares to enter its fourth year of operation, continuing to expand across three states while building on its impressive record.
Rob Archibald has been a vital member of Annabel Neasham Racing since July 2022, initially joining the team as Racing Manager. During his two years with the stable, Rob has proven to be an invaluable asset, bringing a wealth of industry knowledge, exceptional horsemanship, and strong interpersonal skills to all facets of the operation. His contributions have played a crucial role in maintaining the stable's consistency and enhancing overall performance.
Neasham, who has quickly established herself as one of Australia’s leading trainers, began her training career in 2020 after working extensively as an assistant to the legendary trainer Ciaron Maher. Under Maher’s guidance, she honed her skills and deeply understood racehorse training and management. She achieved remarkable success in her first year of training, including winning significant races such as the Group 1 Flight Stakes with Yearning and the Group 2 Shannon Stakes with Jungle Magnate.
“Forming a partnership with Rob was the next logical step for our business,” stated Neasham. “As we continue to grow and operate across multiple states, Rob's expertise will be essential in preserving a hands-on approach to training, as well as managing our team of horses and staff. He has forged excellent relationships with our owners and is dedicated to achieving outstanding results for our clients.”
Annabel's commitment to excellence has seen her attract a talented team of horses, several of which compete at the highest levels across major Australian racing venues. Her operation is known for its focus on horse welfare, balanced training regimens, and strong communication with owners—elements that have contributed to her rapid rise in a competitive industry.
Rob Archibald brings a distinguished background in racing. He served as Racing Manager at Coolmore Australia for four years and gained international experience as an assistant trainer with UK-based trainers Hugo Palmer and David Simcock. His international insights, combined with his local knowledge, will be pivotal as Neasham Racing continues to expand and seek success across multiple states.
The Neasham-Archibald partnership officially commences on 1st August 2024, signalling an exciting new chapter for both trainers as they aim to build on their successful collaboration in the racing industry. With a strong foundation and a shared vision for the future, this partnership is poised to make significant strides in Australian racing.
