Nabeel Al Rayyan, representing Al Marroona Stud, demonstrated his enduring class by securing gold in the Stallions 11+ Years Old division, whilst the graceful Salomeh, under the ownership of Abdullah Salem Al Hajri, emerged triumphant in the corresponding mare's category at Qatar's inaugural Al Rayyan National Peninsula Arabian Horse Show.
In the intermediate age brackets, Dhari Alzobair of Fuwairit Stud proved untouchable in the 7-10 Years Old stallions' division, with Ehsan Al Shahania, owned by Saef Mohammed Al Hajri, matching this achievement in the mares' section.
The 4-6 Years Old categories saw RB Suhail carrying Al Jaham Stud's colours to victory in the stallions' division, while Attar Al Arab, representing Mohamed Jassim KA Al Kuwari, claimed the equivalent mares' title at the Qatar Equestrian Federation's outdoor arena.
This prestigious show, marking its first edition in 2024, has already established itself as a significant fixture in the Arabian horse calendar, following in the footsteps of Qatar's illustrious equestrian heritage. Previous regional championships have seen multiple winners go on to achieve international acclaim, with several securing titles at the prestigious Paris World Championships.
Notable championship results saw Farha Ainain securing silver behind Attar Al Arab in the younger mares' category, whilst Shahrazad Al Waab claimed the runners-up position in the 7-10 Years Old mares' division. The stallions' categories witnessed strong performances from Afas Al Rayyan and Hakeem Al Waab, both securing silver medals in their respective age groups.
The three-day extravaganza, organised by Qatar Racing & Equestrian Club (QREC), showcased the finest Arabian horses from Qatar's leading farms and individual owners, reinforcing the nation's position as a cornerstone of Arabian horse breeding excellence.
