Roma, representing owner Mohammed Faleh Shafi Alajmi, demonstrated exceptional quality to secure victory in the Fillies 2 Years Old 2A class as the curtain rose on the 4th Doha International Arabian Horse Show. The opening day also saw BG Eman from Al Sawaida Farm claiming honours in the Yearling Fillies 1A category at Qatar Equestrian Federation's outdoor arena.
The four-day extravaganza has drawn an impressive assembly of 300 Arabian horses, with elite breeding operations from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait and the UAE vying for championship glory. Previous winners of this prestigious show have gone on to achieve notable success in European championships, including 2022 victor Desert Storm, who later secured the coveted Paris World Championship.
Under the aegis of the European Conference of Arab Horse Organisations (ECAHO), an experienced panel of international judges is presiding over the proceedings. Their expertise will be crucial in selecting winners across various age categories, with successful competitors advancing to the champion rounds for colts, fillies, mares and stallions.
The competition structure sees the top three performers in each division being awarded precious metal, with gold, silver and bronze medals awaiting the most accomplished exhibits. These accolades represent the pinnacle of achievement in Arabian horse breeding excellence within the Gulf region.
