Dual Gr.1 Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile hero Cody's Wish has welcomed his first reported foal, a colt born at Phoenix Farm and Racing in Georgetown, Kentucky.
The new arrival, owned by Frederick & May Construction, is out of dual Group Two winner Hotshot Anna, acquired for US$400,000 at Keeneland's November Sale in 2022.
Cody's Wish, the only five-time Group One-winning son of Curlin, boasts an impressive pedigree, being out of Group One victor Dance Card, a daughter of Tapit. Under the guidance of trainer Bill Mott, the 7YO amassed earnings exceeding US$3.1 million, securing 11 victories from 16 starts before retirement.
The acclaimed stallion's remarkable racing career, highlighted by consecutive Breeders' Cup triumphs, positions him as an exciting prospect at stud, with his first offspring generating considerable interest amongst industry professionals.
