Alberto Sanna and Suka'ar produced a commanding performance to land the Mesaieed Cup at Al Uqda Racecourse on Wednesday. The 9YO, trained by Ibrahim Khaled Elahmed for owner Sabhea Awad Ibrahim, powered clear in the straight to clinch the 1300m Local Purebred Arabian Handicap by three lengths.
Sanna's masterclass continued throughout the card, steering Asma Al Shahania to victory in the Purebred Arabian Handicap for trainer Rudy Andre Nerbonne. The Italian's earlier successes came aboard El Ghazi for Jassim Ghazali and Nerbonne's Messera Al Shahania.
Ghazali secured a double when Malik triumphed under Youssef Lachhab in the Local Thoroughbred Handicap, while Khalifa Hamed Nasser Al Sawai's charge Kaliysta claimed the Thoroughbred Novice Plate under Ebrahim Nader. Tomas Lukasek opened proceedings with a decisive victory aboard Skip James.
