The Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club has undergone a significant restructuring, with Hamad bin Abdulrahman Al Attiyah taking the reins as chairman following his appointment by Minister of Sports and Youth HE Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani.
The reshuffling sees Rashid bin Nasser Al Kaabi stepping into the vice-chairman role, while Khalifa bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, Faleh bin Mohammed Al Nasr and Abdulrahman bin Mansour Al Mansour join as board members.
"We are entering a crucial period that builds on past efforts, requiring meticulous preparation for the remainder of the local season and upcoming international events," Al Attiyah said, outlining his vision for the prestigious organisation.
The Minister praised the departing board's contributions towards advancing Qatar's equestrian sports sector. Al Attiyah, acknowledging the weight of responsibility placed upon the new leadership, emphasised the importance of maintaining momentum in organising both domestic and international race meetings. He expressed particular gratitude to State officials for their confidence in the incoming board, highlighting teamwork as crucial for the club's next phase of development.
The new chairman also paid tribute to his predecessors' dedication, affirming the fresh leadership's commitment to propelling Qatari racing to unprecedented heights on the global stage.
