Fasig-Tipton has catalogued 550 2YOs for its upcoming Midlantic May Sale, taking place at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium on May 19-20, with recent sale graduate and reigning Eclipse champion male sprinter Straight No Chaser featuring prominently.
The catalogue cover star Straight No Chaser, trained by Brittany Russell, has amassed earnings exceeding US$2.6 million, recently adding the Gr.2 Riyadh Dirt Sprint to his impressive record that includes last year's Gr.1 Breeders' Cup Sprint triumph. Joining him on the cover are 2024 Group One winners Sacred Wish, victorious in the Gr.1 Matriarch Stakes , and Full Count Felicia, who captured the Gr.1 E. P. Taylor Stakes .
"Midlantic May is the only 2YO sale to produce an Eclipse champion in 2024 in Straight No Chaser," said Fasig-Tipton Midlantic director of sales Paget Bennett. "The dirt track at Timonium continues to be the launching point for the careers of top-level horses both domestically and internationally, with grade 1 success on both dirt and turf."
Under Tack Sessions Preceding Preakness Weekend
The three-day under tack show runs May 13-15, commencing at 8 a.m. ET daily. The prestigious Gr.1 Preakness Stakes will be contested at nearby Pimlico Racecourse on May 17, with the sale following on May 19-20, each session starting at 11 a.m.

The catalogue is now available online and via the equineline sales catalogue app, with print versions ready from April 22. Fasig-Tipton is currently accepting entries for a supplemental catalogue.
