Secret Hideaway is being primed for Royal Ascot following her stunning Listed Marygate Stakes triumph at York, with trainer Adrian Keatley weighing up multiple options for the prestigious meeting.
The Starspangledbanner filly produced a remarkable performance under P J McDonald, overcoming long odds to claim Listed honours by half a length from a field containing five previous winners.
Keatley is considering entries over both five and six furlongs at the Royal meeting, with the Queen Mary Stakes and Albany Stakes emerging as potential targets for his improving 3YO.
"She's in really good nick after her race, we'll probably just head straight to Royal Ascot with her now," Keatley revealed. "She'll get entries in both the fillies' races, we haven't quite decided yet but we've a bit of time to think about it."
The victory marked Secret Hideaway's second career start and represented a significant step forward from her debut effort. The trainer expressed satisfaction with the competitive nature of the contest and the manner of his filly's success.
"We were delighted with her at York, it was a nice race to win and we'll focus on Ascot next before we think about the rest of the season," Keatley added.
The connections now face the enviable task of selecting the most suitable Royal Ascot target for their rapidly-improving filly.
