The in-form Christophe Lemaire brought home his fourth price on Saudi Cup night for four different Japanese trainers. The 6YO Gr.3 Capella Stakes winner, Dancing Prince shot right to the front defeating Irish-bred Good Effort, who is trained in Newmarket by Ismail Mohammed, with Japanese mare Chain of Love, in third.
Defending champion Copano Kicking sat a midfield trip inside and stayed on bravely in the straight to finish fourth, albeit a non-threatening one.
The six-year-old, from Keisuke Miyata’s stable, burst clear in the straight to win emphatically from Good Effort,
“Fortunately he jumped well, I could take the lead, reduce the pace and then let him go,” said Lemaire
"This is only our third season training, so this is huge. This is our best moment,” add Takuhito Sawae, assistant to trainer Keisuke Miyaga.
