Connections of star galloper, Alligator Blood hope to see him deliver a smooth ride in the Gr.3 BRC Sprint at Eagle Farm marking his return after a six-month absence from the track.
Since winning the 2020 Gr.1 Australian Guineas, Alligator Blood's journey has been far from a smooth ride.
For connections, including prominent owner Allen Endresz, Saturday's return to racing is an important milestone to tick off on the son of All Too Hard's journey to redemption after he was stripped of the Magic Millions 3YO Guineas in 2020.
"I'm not confident about winning (on Saturday), I'm just more concerned that he puts in a solid effort," Endresz said.
Alligator Blood will have to overcome a wide draw to figure in the finish, but connections hope the addition of in-form rider Tim Clark can help quell those concerns.
He has impressed in several trials and jumpouts, but Endresz says his beloved galloper is probably on the fresh side ahead of Saturday's comeback.
