Ado McGuinness’ A Case Of You produced a sparkling display to win the Gr.1 Al Quoz Sprint at Meydan earlier this year, and he will attempt to land more Group One glory on Saturday by claiming victory in the Platinum Jubilee Stakes 2022.
While the Australian raiders have been spotlighted media for their hotly-anticipated run at Royal Ascot and the Irish raider hopes to slip in under the radar and steal the title.
“He’s in very good form. I’m very happy with him,” said McGuinness
“The Australians gave us a fright earlier this week. And hopefully we can frighten them tomorrow.”
A Case Of You missed the King's Stand Stakes in favour of the Gr.1 Platinum Jubilee later over six furlongs.
McGuinness felt the likelihood of decent ground and the way the race will be run will be much more in his four-year-old's favour.
However, the weather has stayed warm.
“Its very warm today and the ground is drying out very quickly. But I’m not worried. We had a fast ground in Dubai at Meydan and in the US at Belmont but look what he did there.
“Im very confident he will act on it,” he said.
When quizzed about his 2022 Royal Ascot experience, the Irish trainer said, “We have met wonderful people all week. We had no joy with our horses all week but ascot has been a been good and we’ve had a great time.
The lack of media attention hasn’t gone unnoticed by the indomitable trainer, but he prefers to keep things under his hat.
“No one talked about us in France either and look how that turned out!”
