Snapdancer has had an injury setback forcing her out of the $15m The TAB Everest next week.
Trainers Ciaron Maher and David Eustace advised Snapdancer’s owners on Monday afternoon the mare had suffered what is believed to be a minor hoof problem and will not be fit in time for The Everest on October 15.
Slot-holder Inglis had selected Snapdancer for the world’s richest turf race and are now on the hunt for another sprinter.
“Due to an injury setback, it has been decided in consultation with the owners that Snapdancer will not contest The Everest,’’ Inglis confirmed on social media.
“Inglis will announce in coming days our new (Everest) representative.’’
