On Friday, the Warwick Farm barrier trials attracted a lot of attention thanks to the most expensive southern hemisphere filly by Justify out of a dual Gr.1 winner.
There were five heats, and the filly Just Glamourous, by Justify and out of the Group One Guineas and Gr.1 Flight Stakes-winning Global Glamour, prevailed in Heat 11.
At the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, the Waterhouse/Bott partnership and Bruce Slade's Kestrel Thoroughbreds paid $900,000 for Just Glamourous, the second foal of his dam.
With that price tag, she becomes the third most expensive filly ever sold worldwide and the most costly by her sire in this region.
Facile, a filly by Trapeze Artist out of the stakes-winning Pierro mare I Like It Easy, won Heat 10 in excellent fashion, with the quickest 2YO time of the morning.
Facile, with only minimal riding, jumped to the lead and never looked back, eventually winning by more than four lengths.
She was purchased by Gerald Ryan and Sterling Alexiou, her trainers, from the Widden Stud draught at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale for $420,000.
