Superior stallion by the name of "I Am Invincible" Although Minsk Moment showed promise of greatness while in the care of Chris Waller, he broke through for a Black Type victory in the Listed WATC Carbine Club of WA Stakes at Ascot on Saturday under the tutelage of new trainer Adam Durrant.
After arriving in Perth just this week, Minsk Moment was set to run for the first time since winning a strong class sprint at Geelong a month ago. His overall record now includes five victories from thirteen starts and prizemoney in excess of $360,000. Originally racing for a syndicate led by Coolmore, Minsk Moment was sold at the Inglis Digital in May for $400,000 after being purchased by James Bester Bloodstock/Coolmore Stud at the Magic Millions for US$575,000 through the Yarraman Park Stud draught.
The Group-placed Oratorio mare Dancing Express gave birth to Minsk Moment at Yarraman Park, and Darby Racing paid $170,000 at Magic Millions this year to acquire the two-year-old colt by Hellbent. Yarraman Park's champion sire I Am Invincible, who has 53 entries for Magic Millions, had his 86th stakes-winner with Minsk Moment.
