At the 36th Al Rayyan Meeting held at the Al Rayyan Racecourse on Wednesday night, Dubawi Spectre, trained by Gassim Ghazali and ridden by jockey Marco Casamento, secured a victory in the Al Jassasiya Cup. The 4YO, owned by Mansoor Ebrahim S I Al-Mahmoud, maintained a mid-position throughout the Thoroughbred Handicap (80-100) race. When urged to accelerate in the early stretch, Dubawi Spectre surged forward, maintaining the lead against the charging Kovanof, ridden by Soufiane Saadi.
Al Shaman, ridden by Szczepan Mazur, secured third place in the 1900m race, falling three lengths behind the second-placed Kovanof. Abdulla Rashid Al Kubaisi, the QREC Racing Manager, presented the trophies to the winners of the Al Jassasiya Cup.
The event featured seven races, with Superior Moment, piloted by Faleh Bughanaim, winning the Thoroughbred Handicap (65-85). AJS Hajaj, partnered with jockey Saleh Salem Al Marri, emerged victorious in the Local Purebred Arabian Handicap, while Neshan, under Tejash Juglall, clinched the title in the Local Thoroughbred Handicap.
Mount Dukono, guided by Jefferson Smith, won the Thoroughbred Maiden Plate, while Al Eraq, ridden by Abdelkabir Benlarbi, secured victory in the Purebred Arabian Maiden Plate. Al Zaeem, trained by Mohammed Ghazali and ridden by Saleh Faraj Al Otaibi, claimed the top spot in the Purebred Arabian Handicap.
Overall, it was an exciting day of racing at the Al Rayyan Meeting, with various winners across different categories.
