Presenting the most lucrative turf race in the world on Saturday, 15, the Australian Turf Club (ATC) will host a party at Royal Randwick in honour of Sydney's most prestigious race, the $15 million TAB Everest. Apart from racing, turf club will also be showcasing high quality hospitability infused with fashion and entertainment.
With the richest prizemoney in its history, and an atmosphere like never before, Royal Randwick is ready for a record day highlighting. 12 of Australia’s best horses, including the world’s highest-rated horse and defending TAB Everest champion Nature Strip with Sydney’s 12-time champion trainer Chris Waller and premiership champion jockey James McDonald. Alongside the world’s best equine athletes will be Australia’s Olympic world swimming champion and TAB Everest Day Ambassador Emma McKeon, who will be also trackside to take in Sydney’s most coveted event.
In her role as TAB Everest Day Ambassador, Australia's golden girl will take part in a number of high-profile events, such as the presentation of the magnificent $437,000 Cerrone-designed trophy before the $15 million TAB Everest and the judging of the highly-anticipated $30,000. The Spring Fashion Stakes feature contests for Best Dressed Female, Best Dressed Male, and a brand-new, gender-neutral category called Showstopper. A new fashionable precinct at the track called "The Glam House" will offer hair and makeup services, live music, express massages, fashion illustrations, and a perfume parlour to help racegoers feel and look their best for the big day.
ARIA-Award-winning sensation Peking Duk will perform a free concert in the Theatre of the Horse for racegoers following in the footsteps of Jason Derulo, One Direction’s Liam Payne, and Kelly Rowland in recent years, while all-female powerhouse group Les Femmes will be singing the national anthem.
The best general admission race day experience in the country and on TAB Everest Day, the expansive ground level will be transformed into “Club Cuba '' bringing the energy of Havana with mojitos, dancers, and a Chevrolet to add to Sydney’s unique and unmissable Carnival atmosphere.
