Aktem Sets 25-Lot Turnover Sale for Maisons-Laffitte
Twenty-Five Lots Head to the Ring
Aktem will offer 25 horses in training through its new Turnover Sale, staged at Maisons-Laffitte on Friday, September 18, from 1.30pm. The session runs immediately ahead of the auction house's inaugural Flat Yearling Sale, held on the same day at the same venue.
Aktem was founded by owner Sofiane Benaroussi, with Guy Petit appointed bloodstock director, and the Turnover Sale marks the new operation's first dedicated horses-in-training fixture since launching on the French sales circuit.
Pas Dansant, a 3YO gelding by Muhaarar trained by Olivier Trigodet, has recorded three wins and nine placings from close to as many starts. He finished fifth in the Listed Prix Moonlight Cloud at Deauville earlier in 2026 and was runner-up in a Class 2 race at La Teste on his most recent outing.
The catalogue's Flat section also features Kassab, another son of Muhaarar, trained by Florian Guyader, who finished second in a strong handicap at Deauville on his latest start. Earlier in the season the 2YO was third in a Class 3 race at Saint-Cloud. Amadeo, a 3YO by Cracksman trained by Alessandro Botti, arrives having won a handicap at Saint-Cloud last time out, having earlier opened his account in a maiden at Lyon-Parilly.
AQPS Prospects Aimed at Jumping
Amadeo's page carries particular pedigree interest, coming from the family of Moonlight Cloud. That family link sits alongside the horse's own recent form figures, giving buyers both a performance record and a page with established black-type substance behind it.
Several of the session's AQPS entries are aimed at buyers looking toward a jumping career. Nuage D Ivresse, trained by Isabelle Pacault, is a son of Ectot who finished second on each of his first two starts before winning over 2,600 metres at Morlaix, and is described as a prospect who could make his hurdling debut in the near future.
Noukou Hiva, also trained by Isabelle Pacault, is a 3YO son of the late For Fun who was third on his debut at Corlay over 2,300 metres before returning to the same course to win in July 2026. His pedigree carries the Lord Carmont, Toutancarmont, Sa Fureur and Imagine lines. Nectar De Mirande, from the same stable, is a 3YO by Robin Of Navan who won on his second start, over 2,400 metres at Granville, and shares that same family background.
Mares Offer Dual Racing and Breeding Appeal
Niagara Du Seuil, a 3YO filly by Doha Dream trained by Mickaël Seror, has already made her track debut over hurdles. She finished a close third on that first start at Moulins in June 2026, then improved to finish second over hurdles at Clairefontaine on her most recent run, giving her page an early jumping profile ahead of the winter meetings the sale is timed to serve.
The catalogue's mares in training combine current form with broodmare potential. Magic Trillion, a 4YO daughter of leading sire Doctor Dino trained by Mickaël Seror, won over fences at Vittel on her latest start. She is out of a black-type mare and belongs to the family of Epatante, described in the catalogue as the very talented Epatante, a family link that adds further depth to the mare's page.
Tutti Bella, a 7YO daughter of It's Gino trained by Isabelle Pacault, has recorded two wins and 11 placings for close to €110,000 (US$119,900) in career prize money. A half-sister to Group Three winner Tutti Quanti, she added to that record with a win in a 3,900-metre handicap hurdle at Auteuil in May 2026, giving the mare both an active form line and a page suited to a buyer weighing stud potential.
Wild card places remain available for the session, extending the entry list beyond the 25 lots already confirmed for the September 18 catalogue. The Turnover Sale sits between the existing September and November horses-in-training sales on the wider French calendar, giving buyers and vendors an additional point of trade heading into the winter jumping season at venues including Cagnes-sur-Mer and Pau.
Taken together, the catalogue offers a spread of options across Flat form, jumping potential and broodmare prospects, reflecting the range Aktem has sought to build into its first horses-in-training fixture.
