EAHS Sets 17-Event Arabian Beauty Calendar
Season Opens at Sharjah in October
The Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS) has approved its programme of Purebred Arabian horse beauty championships and auctions for the 2026-2027 season, organised and supervised by the Society. The programme runs from 3 October 2026 to 11 April 2027 and comprises 17 championships and events in total, including five international championships.
The programme spans seven months across the UAE, taking in Sharjah, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Fujairah and Al Dhafra. It combines auctions with championships graded at international, regional and national level, running under rules including those of the Egyptian Commission for Arabian Horse Organisation (ECAHO). Auctions fall to Sharjah, Dubai and Ajman studs across the season, while the championship fixtures make up the bulk of the calendar, closing with two breeders' championships in April.
The 2026-2027 calendar opens with the Sharjah Arabian Horse Auction on 3 October 2026 at the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, followed a week later by the Dubai Arabian Horse Stud Auction on 10 October. Auctions also fall to Ajman Stud later in the season, alongside the championship fixtures that make up the bulk of the programme.
Championship action begins on 15 October with the Sharjah International Arabian Horse Festival, run under Egyptian Commission for Arabian Horse Organisation (ECAHO) rules. A second Sharjah fixture, the Sharjah Arabian Horse Festival focused on local production, follows from 16 to 18 October before the calendar moves to Abu Dhabi.
November Auction Precedes Kalba Festival
Abu Dhabi hosts the Arabian Horse Society National Championship on 27 and 28 October, before the UAE National Arabian Horse Championship runs from 31 October to 2 November 2026. Both fixtures take place in the capital, with the National Championship giving way to the UAE National event just days later.
ahead of the Sharjah Kalba Arabian Horse Festival, which runs from 25 to 27 November. The two fixtures mark the last events of the calendar year's opening phase before the programme shifts toward its December cluster of championships.
December carries three fixtures on the EAHS calendar: the Fujairah International Arabian Horse Championship from 4 to 6 December, the Al Dhafra Arabian Horse Beauty Championship from 17 to 20 December, and the Arabian Horse Society National Championship — Al Dhafra from 25 to 27 December 2026. The three fixtures bring together international, regional and national-level championships within the space of just a few weeks, spanning the Emirates from Fujairah to Al Dhafra as the year draws to a close. Together they represent one of the busiest stretches of the entire season, with organisers and breeders moving quickly from one venue to the next as the calendar year winds down.
The new year opens with the Ajman Arabian Horse Beauty Championship, set for 8 to 10 January 2027, before the calendar's centrepiece winter fixture, the Abu Dhabi International Arabian Horse Beauty Championship — known as the Title Show — runs from 18 to 21 February 2027 during Ramadan. The gap between the January and February fixtures gives the season a natural pause before its most prestigious winter event takes centre stage.
Sharjah Marks 28th Festival Edition in March
March brings an international Arabian horse beauty championship from 19 to 21 March 2027, followed by the 28th edition of the Sharjah International Arabian Horse Festival from 25 to 27 March. The Sharjah fixture's return for a 28th staging reflects its established place among the season's international championships, rounding out the month's programme before the calendar moves toward its closing fixtures.
The season closes with two breeders' championships in April: the Arabian Horse Breeders Championship from 5 to 8 April 2027, followed immediately by the Arab Arabian Horse Breeders Championship on 10 and 11 April, which brings the 2026-2027 programme to its conclusion. The back-to-back scheduling of the two breeders' championships ensures the season ends on fixtures dedicated specifically to breeding achievement, rather than general beauty competition.
The beauty championship and auction calendar sits within the wider 2026-2027 horse racing and equestrian season approved under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court. The broader season also includes endurance races at the Emirates International Endurance Village in Al Wathba and flat racing fixtures at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club.
Sheikh Mansour said the season "represents a continuation of the UAE's longstanding commitment to supporting horse and equestrian sports, preserving their authentic heritage and continuing to develop them according to the highest standards of organisation and professionalism."
