ADIHEX 2026 Falcon Sale Sets A Record
A Qarmoosha Pure Ultra White falcon sold for AED1.5 million (US$408,000) at the fifth auction of ADIHEX 2026 on 29 August 2026, the highest price recorded at any auction during this year's exhibition.
The sale took place under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Falconers' Club, at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, part of the largest falcon auction programme in the 23rd edition's history, staged under the theme A Legacy of Pride and organised by ADNEC Group, a Modon company, in partnership with the Emirates Falconers' Club. ADIHEX 2026 runs for 10 consecutive days and closes on 6 September 2026, spanning 15 sectors that include falconry, equestrian sports, camels and the preservation of environmental and cultural heritage.
The falcon was owned by Mark Moglich Falcon Farm in the United States, weighed 1,000 grams and measured 16.5 inches in both length and width, sold on 29 August 2026 at ADIHEX 2026's fifth auction for AED1.5 million (US$408,000), the highest price of the year's programme.
The bird's rare pure white colouring and exceptional physical characteristics drew considerable attention from leading falconers and bidders at the sale, organisers said, contributing to the record price within this year's auction programme, which forms one of the exhibition's flagship attractions alongside its wider trade sectors spanning falconry, equestrian sports, hunting and heritage activities.
White Falcon Sets Auction Record
Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Group CEO of ADNEC Group, said the calibre of the falcons entered into the auctions reflected the global standing the sales have built through ADIHEX. "We remain committed to providing a platform that brings together the finest falcons and bloodlines from around the world," he said, adding that the auctions play a role in preserving breed quality and sustainability while reinforcing Abu Dhabi's position as a leading international destination for falconry and its authentic traditions.
Auction Programme Draws More Farms
This year's auction programme features 55 leading local and international falcon breeding and care farms, a 20% increase on last year's edition, including nine taking part for the first time, a scale organisers linked to the growing stature of the auctions and their increasing appeal among breeders and falconers worldwide. The sales are open to bidders both in person and online, offering falconry enthusiasts, owners and breeders the chance to acquire falcons distinguished by their bloodlines and physical qualities.
ADIHEX 2026 continues at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi until 6 September 2026, with further falcon auctions scheduled across the remaining weekends of the exhibition's run, alongside its wider programme of hunting, equestrian, cultural and family-oriented activities.
