Annabel Neasham, a trainer, is going to have her debut starter in the TAB Everest race. It turns out that Sunshine In Paris, owned by John Camilleri, has been chosen to run in the A$20 million event.
According to Neasham's interview with News Corp, the slot holder Aquis was able to secure a deal with Camilleri, making it possible for Sunshine In Paris to compete in the world's richest turf race on 14th October at Randwick.
Neasham said it was "exciting" to have her first starter the TAB Everest
"Sunshine In Paris has pulled up really well after Saturday's win," Neasham revealed.
"Our plan now is to keep the mare fresh and happy and she will go straight into the Everest without another start.
"I fear if I ran her again before the Everest it could take the speed out of her legs.
"We also have the Golden Eagle for her after the Everest"
Last Saturday, Sunshine in Paris won a thrilling first race in the Gr.2 Sheraco Stakes in Paris, clocking a speedy time of 1m 8.8s for the Rosehill 1200m, despite being eased down by jockey Ryan Maloney towards the end. Following this impressive win, Sunshine in Paris joins Giga Kick, I Wish I Win, Mazu, and Think About It as the fifth confirmed participant in the upcoming Everest.
