Jamie Kah has 'put to bed' any discussions about her chances of partnering Ayrton in next month's Stradbroke Handicap in Brisbane if the pre-race favourite attracts the minimum weight of 49.5 kilograms. Trained by Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr, Ayrton leaves for Queensland next week to attempt to gain entry into the Stradbroke via the Fred Best Classic - a perfect race for 3YO over the 1400m mark.
Melbourne's leading rider, Kah with 86 wins already this season said such a lightweight is a step too far.
Even with a win in that race, the unbeaten Ayrton's rating will likely still be too low to attract anything but the 49.5kg limit for the Gr.1 race.
