City of Troy's Post-Derby Path: Irish Derby or Eclipse Next

Aidan O'Brien's Betfred Derby winner City Of Troy's next plans have not been confirmed by the Coolmore partners, but the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby or the Coral-Eclipse seem to be the top choices. Additionally, the Travers Stakes at Saratoga in August is still being considered.

Aidan O'Brien mentioned at the Curragh on Wednesday that the decision is still pending, and the options are between the races at the Curragh and Sandown. He expressed that there are three potential races, and they will go with the plan once a decision is made, hoping to have clarity in the next week. He also noted that the distance doesn't seem to affect the horse much.

Regarding the stablemate Los Angeles, who finished third at Epsom, O'Brien stated that the next steps for Los Angeles depend on City Of Troy's plans, as he believes City Of Troy is a promising horse who will progress.
