Kiwi visitor She’s Licketysplit will face ten fillies in Wednesday’s Gr.1 Thousand Guineas at Caulfield as she attempts to provide Cambridge trainer Andrew Forsman with a slice of history.
The Thousand Guineas remains unconquered since the race was first held in 1946 for New Zealand stables even though they have routinely won Australia’s premier three-year-old events.
She’s Licketysplit’s performance in claiming the Gr.2 Edward Manifold Stakes at Flemington on October 1 was enough to elevate the Turn Me Loose filly to Thousand Guineas favourite and she will retain top-billing in betting after drawing barrier five.
She’s Licketysplit will meet two last-start winners in the Thousand Guineas, both trained by Peter Moody Boogie Dancer (gate six) and Waltz On By.
