Veteran Trainer Colin Webster's Horse, Trix Of The Trade, Takes Home US$1,500,000 After Winning the Gr.1 Railway Stakes

The wait was well worth it for 82YO trainer Colin Webster, who won his first Gr.1 race after a lengthy period of frustration.

The Furphy - Railway Stakes, worth US$1,500,000, was won by the 4YO Trade Fair horse Trix Of The Trade. Comfort Me, a gelding by Playing God, finished a length and a quarter back in second, while Startrade came within a short half head of handing Trade Fair (GB) the quinella.

Trix Of The Trade, bred and owned by Bill and Patricia Robinson, has won nine races, placed three times, and earned a total of US$1,267,865 from 14 career starts. He started the year by winning four in a row, including three Listed prizes. The odds of Trix Of The Trade showing up at the Easter Yearling Sale are little to none.
